I can't say I'm privy to how the quality of Dish's residence transfer of service goes, only had it once when I moved and it was almost twenty years ago, I'd imagine it's at least slightly different currently.
Either way, there's ways of handling such things without negatively affecting the rest of the customers, attaching it to a residence is lazy, shortsighted and is part of their thought process which concludes with them being so negatively reviewed.

Me not liking them probably has something to do with the fact that they're so *** shitty.
Also the process of transferring the account should be automated, it's really a no brainer, but apparently Comcast is lacking that too. You shouldn't have to contact support for such a stupid thing, and no it wasn't a "click through" last I did it.
But no, I don't like companies that have insanely shitty policies and practices. I don't like my phone company either.

a lot of companies do ***wrong and dont bother fixing. they just patch things up with anther shitty patch, and things get awkward and dumb later on because they are lazy to actually fix it and will break more things.
not a thing for cable companies, but to a lot of companies of many different areas.

You can still have STR accessories as a more convenient swapping option for content you find yourself focusing on the dps aspect of.

Throttling of unlimited internet. *
Instituting data caps. *
Requiring people to use the shitty X1 platform.
Not being able to cancel service online.
Shitty outsourced home networking support.
That's just off the top of my head.

X1 platform isn't even shitty though. I'm using it right now as I type this. Running smooth, no lag, no issues at all. I love being able to use the voice command too. Makes watching tv even lazier! xD

This week's Iron Blooded Orphans was great, if a little depressing. S2 is off to a much more solid start than s1.

xD I actually have had someone say "you sound Indian" and it blew my mind because ... not even close. I was like "nope, I'm the whitest of the white and grew up in California." He apologized. It was strange, lol.
