When the ghost-written posts stopped being purely about actual XI community stuff, they stopped. Was a bummer, because I like Carrot, but there do have to be lines.
If there's actual useful content to be had for XI players, though, then I'm sure I can suffer my way through some ham-fisted pokes at me in a third-party post.

Fact is, certain individuals were given an exclusive privilege that most are not given (aka being able to evade and go around their permaban) to continue posting info on the XI side of the site. This was already a privilege before it was violated/tested, as it is already breaking a forum rule. Normally I'm pretty outspoken about moderator injustices and whatever but I really don't see how the mods/rooks are in the wrong about this one.

I mean if anything I'd want to see more repeat offenders/previously banned/etc. individuals punished at the same level tbh. Only so much leeway should be afforded to those who already did something to earn a permaban.

It's a balancing act, because the community is only so large, and isn't exactly primed for growth; if someone truly brings nothing to the table, then sure, they gotta go. But some of the recidivist types have a redeeming value or two, which makes the "Do I prune that tree?" question a little murkier.
