You never did anything but towers No proper raid, no extreme primals, no long sidequests, no normal quests etc There's a ton of lore if you pay attention, lots of interesting characters It's just not all laid out for you to do and you won't be soloing any 50+ content or even primals/coil on a bard, you'd die Yeah, you go into the duty finder because that's how you find people quickly. Would you rather stand around for hours shouting for people to join your thing? You did the normal dungeons and then the 24 man, you didn't do the other content that provides a different experience I do want more open world content but the Duty Finder is amazing for finding people when you don't have a lot of time, or your friends aren't on
Are you kidding me? MORE palace of the dead.
Shoot me in the face now! iLevel requirements are good imo because you can't go in with trash gear then (at least)
They're usually not set very high anyway and they give out older gear like candy so newer players can catch up Grumpy Cat said: » Are you kidding me? MORE palace of the dead. Shoot me in the face now! Since it'll be new you can do it with us, we'll likely be running it a bit The thing about DF, and a Kotaku article nailed it on the head, is that speed running ruins it.
Most of the time you don't talk to the other players other than hello! at the beginning. You don't get time to look around and enjoy the level designs. She wrote about how, as a new player, she had heard about there being an enemy vs enemy bar brawl in Sastasha. She asked her group about it and was ignored, and again when they entered that area with the side rooms. She wandered back to it herself and got to watch the fight for a bit, but eventually the group came back and killed off the rest. One person said something like they never knew it was there, while the other person pointed out exactly how many EXP points it was worth vs how much time it took. DF is not the reason DF sucks, it is the people using it who are responsible. Grumpy Cat said: » Shoot me in the face now! When a new dungeon comes out and I run it with people in the FC I take time to really look at the dungeon and take screenshots etc
Asura.Schizm said: » I probably would have prefered a system where in FFXIV you could of gotten a relic type weapon or something around level 30 and by using and killing certain mobs it would add attributes and then by adding materia you could also give it additional stats. Buy building relics during naturla progression, you could have parties where even grinding would allow stats and drops go to your weapon. You mean how most relic steps are? lol And you can meld materia to them now |
