There was a bard the other night telling all ninjas to stop their DPS on Irminsul in Void Ark, and to switch to that hydra plant thing, because the magic null icon went active. When SE announced that NIN was getting nerfed so that venom would no longer affect magical Ninjutsu, he was like, "Well, I guess you're going back to DRG since NIN will be useless now since its strongest stuff is magical." I tried to explain to him that all it really meant is that Raiton would be slightly weaker, but would probably prevail over Fuma Shuriken almost all of the time, barring laggy situations/when globals occur too fast and have to do Fuma. But its actual strongest thing was physical, being TA and SA(but like why would you amirite). He just responded with, "No, my WHM friend Noms said that NIN is all magical, and he was Server first in FCoB." And I was like, "I doubt Noms actually said that, but if he did, he is wrong." He never did understand that he was wrong lol.
Though I really did hate that nerf. Made NIN AOE piss poor for the longest time, and they also made it so that Kassatsu no longer caused Katon to auto crit all targets. I was pretty salty about that.
