No heat. Days upon days of rain/overcast with very few reprieves. I'm going to be mad if our beach trip ends up rained out for a second year in a row.
Texas was so drenched last year the coast was constantly flooded. They allow camping on the beach in designated areas beyond the dunes. There was an RV that had water past the top of the tires last year. I was banking on it being swept out to sea. It was bad.

Pardon me a moment of stereotyping, but while I don't know what it's like *in Italy*, I know that almost to a person Italian-American mothers dote on their male sons and do everything for them for their entire lives if they let them.
The term "mama's boy" was created for Italian-American guys who can't let go. Nothing's ever as good as mom's, no one ever takes care of them like mom, etc.
Yeah that exists with others too and it's not exclusive, but it's sort of an expression of logic.
While you don't have to be Italian-American to be a doting mother, it certainly seems to be the case you have to be a doting mother if you're Italian-American.
