So I dreamt I was wondering through some kind of wasteland and was ambushed by this group of teens(mostly girls)and they were hostile at first but then saw that I had stuff and took me to their lair. Apparently they didn't have anything or ever saw the real world and were amazed at everything.. "ooh you got pen gimme that pen!" and they couldn't read so they wanted me to read them stuff.
And their "boss" who was a *** at first started warming up to me and wanted to be my friend.

And then at some point I started singing this for no reason

Yes. Dodge is the best stat for PVP.
I use Karin for PVP and she does not die. like ever.

Arguing with people on Facebook about the new Ghostbusters.

I hate dust! Spring cleaning the crap outta my room but ugh I have no motivation to finish. Part of me keeps telling myself to do it tomorrow when I know I probably wont. ;-;

Well, AVGN released a video proclaiming that instead of reviewing it, he will be refusing to watch it, and he gave a lot of damn good reasons. The comments section turned into diarrhea.

I totally support his decision. I will be watching it myself, but I am not paying to watch it.

He pointed out things like the special effects looking like Scooby Doo. The fact that make an ALL female cast is now giving the air of "the female Ghostbusters" vs "the male Ghostbusters". Also having original actors appear making cameos, not as their characters leaves the whole concept of 'passing the torch' as a fart in the wind. Plus NAME IT SOMETHING ELSE GOD DAMN IT. Like "Ghostbusters: Recharged" or something, so we don't have to have Ghostbusters(1984) and Ghostbusters(2016).

Overall it seems like the people behind it really got disconnected from the fanbase, and in the end it just comes across as a way to make money with little to no respect for the franchise or the existing fans.

Let's move / and \ for no real reason at all.

But the emoticons!! There's an entire menu for emoticons, leave ***alone. It's like they put (shut up, Rooks) a guy who just proposes changes out of his *** in charge.

I could be off base, but I get the feeling that somewhere along the line instead of making a Ghostbuster movie with a female cast -- would could have been legitimately awesome -- they went full pandermonkey and made The Female Ghostbusters, which could still be the same thing, but I suspect will be a bunch of stereotypes and/or purposefully trying to flip stereotypes, ipso facto: canned, boring, and tiresome.

I'll still watch it and I really hope I'm wrong.

But that's the feeling I get.

There is other ***I didn't even think about when I first saw that trailer like the beginning where it says "30 years ago, four scientists saved New York". Excuse me, only 3 of them were scientists. Which you would have known IF YOU GAVE ANY SHITS ABOUT THE ORIGINAL MOVIE.

So I have been thinking to forgo my NAS and go back to software raid in my "server" but then I was like wait, how many drives can it hold?

So I look and it apparently only has 2 regular 3.5" slots, even though it has 6 sata connectors.

I'm sure I can get another in the 5.25" bay but then I'll have to find somewhere to put the OS drive. I guess I could throw my extra sata drive in it, because then I could just velcro the *** to the side. It may be what I end up having to do.

The PLOT thickens! falls flat.

It's not that the new Ghostbusters cast is female, it's the fact that it doesn't live up to and kinda shits on the original.

Also there's the fact that nerds and geeks are kinda the demographic GB was for while the producer or director, I forget which, called nerds and geeks 'the biggest ***' in an interview. Seems like he's targeting the Tumblr radical feminist demographic, which he's going to learn won't be happy regardless.

I'm pretty sure he's targeting the very vocal fans of the original who were never going to be satisfied in the first place and are actually taking him to task thinking he's pandering to the SJW crowd, when in fact they're not really happy either I'm sure because they never are.

But the end result is the same.

I honestly would be happy with just a couple changes.

#1 - Passing the torch. Have the old GB characters in the film, at least one of them, interacting/passing on tech/tips whatever.

#2 - AT LEAST one animatronic ghost. Not ALL CG.

#3 - The gear/Ecto-1 need to be redone. They look like low budget cosplay. Get away from the weird ghetto-steampunk aesthetic and remember this gear is scientific, make it look more sci-fi and less like garbage.

Agreed.

I just want them to stop doing remakes.

I get that they're proven moneymakers, even if they end up terrible.

But there are a ton of writers out there with great new ideas that are completely untapped.

Edit: And this is not a veiled "but what about my awesome stories!" post. I do write but I do not put any effort into finishing and cleaning up anything I write, let alone putting it out there for consumption. But there are people who bust their butts trying to get their work out there and instead the big boys just keep recycling the same old stuff, making it (mostly) worse each time.
