If you had a hard time playing a bad guy, you must mean playing as Roland and Lilith in BL1 right?
Jack was not a bad guy. He had greed issues sure, but a lot of what he was doing was establishing defenses and protecting Pandora. Being double crossed by Roland and Lilith pushed him over the edge, causing him to be the villain in BL2.
Really he was no different than any Vault Hunter. They go from planet to planet in search of Vaults, for loots and power, and they kill anyone who gets in their way. Jack often tried to reason with people who were settled in areas he wanted to explore or mine etc, usually throwing money at them. The Vault Hunters just shoot their way through problems.
Jack is the real hero.

ive probably been the most productive today leveling wise...
normally takes me months to level a job but went from level 12 to 98 today.... probably 99 might as well be...

so, letting steaks sit with some salt. gave the neighbors dogs some hot dogs so they'd stop barking. got cokes on ice, a nice bottle of rum. gonna cook some t-bones (was gonna do ribeyes, but the t-bones are on sale), burgers, hot dogs, some chicken breasts (i keep them in a big bag in the fridge and during the week i'll make chicken salads or fajitas with them), potato, and asparagus.
everyone is welcome! got some salmon fillets for tomorrow too ^^y gonna cook that with some grilled corn and some rice.
*edit* oh and grilling some naan with thin sliced gouda and some crispy bacon. gouda and bacon grilled naan pizza.

only if it's all beef i think? they scarf them down though. small dogs, but one is loud and the other cries. they are sitting at the fence staring at my back door waiting for more food. it tugs on my heart strings. last week i gave them soft boiled eggs.
