Zojirushi makes the coolest appliances. On average they are more pricey than those no-name cookers/water-heaters/steamers/etc. but they are aesthetically attractive, have very intuitive button/feature layouts, last forever (my ex still has her water heater she had for her dorm at university almost 20 years later), and of course they have that super-cute elephant mascot! ^^

By comparison, I bought one of those budget rice cookers for under $15 USD thinking "well it only has to cook rice no?" LOL after the first month it melted one of the plastic legs on its own housing and became so lopsided it was unusable. :p

Haven't you read any of my previous posts!? I'm not only diabolically evil I'm dangerously mentally incompetent, I have the attention span of a fruit fly and my wife and kids know that when I make dinner, it's ready when all of the smoke alarms in the house go off.

and Even I, who one time burned water, haven't been able to screw up making rice in that cooker.

you need like...two working fingers and a handful of functioning brain cells, rice, water and a working electrical outlet.

it makes the rice and then it keeps it perfectly warm until the smoke alarms go off indicating the other food is ready
