I just got a Tab 4, and I think the differences between the two are Tab 4 has a better battery and better screen, but Tab A has a slightly stronger processor (and slightly weaker gpu). I think the Tab 4 is currently like $30 cheaper though. Have been using it pretty much constantly since I got it, it's not the most premium possible tablet obviously (Tab S or iPad) but it runs everything I've thrown at it including RK.
