Looks like Verizon doesn't sell the Nexus 5X at all so it comes down to whether I want to buy an unlocked phone outright or sign a contract again for the S7 Edge. Straight vanilla Android and faster updates is tempting though.

Now when I'm on my surface I don't have to login to two different gmail accounts via the web, as my second one interferes with my google voice.

if you do the device payment program you can upgrade again in a year when the new samsung comes out.

A rare and dying feature among flagship smartphones and tablets these days. Mostly because the manufacturers don't want to pay royalties and get a much better deal giving a 2000%+ markup on internal storage; NAND flash be damned.
they actually took the sd card slot out of the s6's. i'm shocked they brought it back. it causes sooooo many problems.
They say that the way the screen on the 5X is, it's easier to see in sunlight. A plus when working outdoors.

That's another reason why they are commonly removed in most newer models. Having proprietary storage helps assure quality in consistency, and read/write speeds. Last thing Samsung or Apple wants is someone bitching and giving their products a bad rap cause Joe Schmoe went and bought a cheapo generic SD card.
What charger type does the S7 Edge take? I don't really mind buying new Type-C as long as I know it won't be obsolete in a few weeks.
It's got the new wireless microwave charging feature. Just toss it in and set it for 30 minutes. Once it's done your phone will be fully charged!

It's annoying to deal with, but it sure beats having to pay that much extra for a phone with more internal storage.

I just recently bought my mom the LG Nexus 5X. That'll definitely one-up her 2014 Moto G, and I'm 90% sure 32GB will serve her needs and far beyond. Me however; I'm upset if I can't have at least 64+GB

I have two SD cards, a lol64mb and an 8 GB that my cousin had in his phone when he dropped it in beer. Still works, phone doesn't.

i'm a tech support supervisor for verizon. anytime one of my reps handles a warranty claim for a customer it gets tracked if there was an issue or no trouble was found. if no trouble was found i have to go through and review it. sd cards break everything.

I adore the way people *** unceasingly about how flimsy their phones are.
You keep it in the back pocket of jeans that are too tight and sit on it 12 hours a day, fatty. It's an electric device, not granpappy's hanky!
