We have these strange textured walls too. This house is old and is being pushed on by a tree root so the textures are an issue in repairs.

HAHA, my dads a Architectural designer, he has refined taste in building design, he actually hates my love for the swirly ceilings, but for a cheap design, their easy to do, and if done well look cool af.

I've also been told that the swirly ceiling thing is actually extremely rare to see in america, which i find interesting, and it's quite particular to European countries.

Like that room, is literally the idea i have in my head of like Suburb American housing. Like serious.

A lot of places still look like that. When we moved we looked at about 5 houses and 3 of them had either horrible carpet or wood paneling. /shudder
Claustrophobic stuff and overall very depressing.
