It's really not that long of a game unless you decide to fight every encounter and comb every zone for treasures (which luckily tend to be worthwhile most of the time).

Indeed, that is a classic. Though I feel the late 90s and early 2ks were really the golden age of console RPGs, and had a really good balance between memorable melodies and being on the cusp of high quality audio; even if marginally synthesized for the most part.
I'm very pleased to be getting bits like these in their source quality.

Got my Dark Knight Cecil Memory Crystal. Gonna spam level his ***, and a few others from FFIV in Record Keeper come Sunday. May even burn some mythril just to make sure he hits 65.

Well I've been listening (fairly) closely, and I notice little to no audible difference between the original 1994 Original Sound Version and the 2013 remastered soundtrack of FFVI, so I won't even bother purchasing or uploading the older version.
