I feel pretty bad for saying this, but I wish I knew how to disable Amber alerts that seem to pop up every other day in the middle of the night. Especially improbable for me to do anything about it with the lack of a car and all.

Gah, I'm always so conflicted over direct JP > EN translations for the titles or going with the alternative English titles; sometimes one makes a lot more sense over the other, but at the same time I want to keep things relatively consistent ya know?
I wish I enjoyed wine more than I typically do. It gives the best type of intoxication compared to beer or spirits; as you can clearly see.

Been picking up things to do stuff like blacksmithing and talked to a friend that had family that did gunsmithing...
Since I will be carburizing metals and had to order charcoal, saltpeter and barium carbonate; then my friend mentioned that yeah, I probably shouldn't be ordering that stuff in mass quantities...especially to a home address...

Speaking about iron, I bought a new cast iron pan the other day but never checked the maker, sure enough, it's a 8" Lodge cast iron.
Well I was checking a video with someone using a strong Easy Oven cleaner and since the seasoning on this pan that came with it is scratched to hell, I may as well get some crisco and season the pan myself....
Then again, as I am thinking, I didn't get this pan to cook.....food.....

I didn't realize that Lodge and like most cast iron pans now come preseasoned, which I guess is the norm for decades, but I may as well do something to keep it rust free, but I was thinking what if I could just tin or metal coat the pan instead...
There's a point when iron stops being magnetic and starts hitting the sweet spot for carbon steel, which is about 1,410'F to 1,670'F. While by no means a cast iron pan isn't a normal blacksmith item, if I have a ladle or something I just need to place somewhere, I am figuring the pan would do, like an ashtray for stuff. LOL.
But if I am going to do simple jewelry stuff, the melting and molding temperature points are much lower. But what can I say, it was on sale at Walmart and I don't want to burn up my chicken or egg skillet....
