Scouting isn't the same as online missions though?

Scouting is when you 'hire' a character through the Scouting panel (or talking to them in random locations in the game) to take place in your party for 30 minutes. AI-controlled.

Online missions is when you go to the barracks and select a Squad Mission from the interface there. (as long as at least 1 target has been cleared in the timed mission there's a mission or two available)

Sorry, this game is needlessly complicated at times. It's hard to distinguish certain terms sometimes.

After clearing chapter 3 I was like whaaaaaaaaaat? ._.
30 hours further and I just completed chapter 5, haha. This game is immense...
