I don't know if PS4 games work like the PS3, but the PS3 wasn't region locked. The one problem I have in the states is that I have to set the PS3 EU games to 720p to play on non Pal systems.
So I think you can import the game if it's not region locked, you just won't be seeing it in the local stores...
Play-Asia confirmed they'll be stocking the English-language Asia region version of the game, and a lot of people got butthurt over it.
However, they've also more than doubled their Twitter followers since. It was fun watching it unfold.
