I should probably get a credit card for myself to establish some credit. Mine is probably in piss poor condition after using one long ago to cover for my passed grandmother's car accident which my stepdad did a botched job of covering for me.

I don't really mind paying godawful interest rates as I intend to do it as method of purchasing things I already know I have the money to pay off right away. I can just space it out over a few extra weeks to let that credit build up. Just gotta avoid the really nasty APR; pretty sure that's the fee just for the privilege of having their credit balance available to you in the first place.
I've been with US bank for ages and they have sent me some junk mail for a CC in the past. Maybe I can bug em about it sometime.

Ah okay, thanks for clearing up that misconception. So credit can still build even if the balance is paid off immediately upon being billed? I guess my knowledge of credit and how it functions is petty at best. But I'll start with a bank card and get the ball rolling. Maybe move up to something more prestigious with points/travel rewards, etc. in a year or two.

Ive only had a credit card since graduating highschool and when I went to apply for a car loan recently with the sole intent to build up more credit I was denied by like 5 diff banks lol my score was apparently 780 but I just had "no credit history"

heh, I was just looking at my cc bills, I have a spreadsheet set up for my minimal payments, what I owe, etc. It's just too much freaking money.
I'm debating on getting a weekend job for a bit to pay it off faster, but I doubt it will work so well.

Yeah, I've considered it, just been lazy about it. There's stuff like onforce which I could just pick up a few tickets here and there, I just like my weekends with the kid and such.

supposedly rousey tried to box the world champ at boxing/kickboxing and got the ***knocked out of her instead of doing her usual fighting style. and she acted pretty cocky too prior to the fight (said my friend who's a huge ufc fan)
