Spaghetti with meatballs is an aberration that I have no idea why it's passed off as italian cuisine.

I believe moderation is a part of that diet America people usually overlook. They seem to have a culture of "more bang per less money" thing. That make up for bigger burgers, bigger cups of soda and bigger buckets of chicken wings.

To achieve that level they have to sacrifice something and apparently the quality of the food is the first thing to suffer on the corner cutting culture of extreme productivity.

So, not only they eat unhealthy stuff, their culture also encourages eating a lot of it.
