I watched the first story-series from the first black/white version of Dr. Who (it was on Hulu or Netflix, my ex-fiance made me watch it). It wasn't all that great imo.
The old series has some good moments, but the early stuff is pretty bad. They restarted it in 2005 after a couple decade break, and the new version is much better.
I mean, it's still campy and cheesy crap most of the time, but it's fun and better-made campy and cheesy crap now.

Ugh I know I say it often but it sucks to spend so much time traveling to and fro university. If only trains weren't superpacked with people I could enjoy the ride spending time reading or writing, but...

Not feasible for me. Besides the fact that my brother uses our car so I couldn't...there is a lot of traffick which means I'd have to get up at near the same time. And plus the most important thing: I absolutely abhor driving.
Or a Bike though I don't think you would have strong enough legs to pedal the distance. So maybe a moped/scooter? I hear those are pretty popular overseas.
As for oil vs ticket I honestly don't know, I'm never informed on the oil prices since I don't care.
I don't mind driving, I just hate traffic and having to repair stuff.

As for scooter...well, I never learned how to ride to begin with ;_; but it would be perfect..

To me, I love driving. The freedom it gives, the ability to see things you could never see sitting in a room or on a train/bus/airplane/boat.
And the control it gives you, especially if you are driving for the fun of it.
Hell, give me a week off and $1000 and the road is open to me!

Also sidenote: american roads are very big, here all streets are quite narrow when you drive inside town.
