Can't get this *** screen back into the window.
Googling for advice all comes up computer related lol. Grumpy Cat said: » Can't get this *** screen back into the window. Googling for advice all comes up computer related lol. Do you mean you are having trouble getting the screening material to go back into the frame properly? If so, it's because normally when installing the screen, one stretches the screen then trims away the excess, making it taut...so it's hard to replace old screen that was already trimmed. It can be done but you have very little room to pull on it to make it fit again. If you mean replacing the screen frame back on the window, then sometimes obviously the frame itself can be warped or shrunk if the screening material is too tight or it's too old. You can always just put in a tiny nail in one of the lower corners (placed diagonally across the corner) to hold the screen in place while the frame sits secured in the other two sides. No one will notice, honest! (At least until they take it down next time...) :p Fenrir.Schutz said: » Grumpy Cat said: » Can't get this *** screen back into the window. It is now in the window but there are huge gaps at the bottom. THIS IS WHY I AM A COMPUTER GUY. Bahamut.Rulerofdarkness

The screens on our windows you put the top edge/border in first then just pivot the bottom into it's slot. They have little metal bands on the top of the frame that act as a sort of spring to help keep it tight in the frame.

All these new parents with the parenting method of "I'll never discipline my child" have a really rude outcome awaiting them IMO. A child needs to know discipline for their actions, and different types of discipline based on the actions they have done. There shouldn't be a go to discipline for everything they do wrong, because that quickly will nullify the effects of that action and they'll be like "yea whatever, I'll be out of this soon enough, just you wait." The "alright, go to your room, I had it with you!" is just freedom really. The "go to your room while I think of your consequence" and then actually thinking what fits the crime, and then following through without budging I think is more appropriate. Following through with the consequence, and then after they complete it, you sit down with them and have a talk with your child seems logical to me. You're putting your foot down when you need to, they learn that something will happen with everything they do, whether it's good or bad, and they also receive the resolution that you are doing what you are doing because you care about them and their future. You just explaining why you did it isn't just enough, you both need to, especially the child. They need to know why you did it. If you're just there yabbering about why, and they are just nodding, and then you pat them on the head and they run off, they are just learning how not to cause trouble. When they are older, and they don't care what you think anymore, that just gets exposed. but what do I know, I'm just 22 ;p just my opinion Bahamut.Rulerofdarkness said: » They have little metal bands on the top of the frame that act as a sort of spring to help keep it tight in the frame. The metal bands go on the top... hmmm. Shoot. All I know is that when I was a kid, I got my *** beat regularly. To this day I have the respect to not cuss in front of my parents or grandparents. I do remember my mom going for my throat once when I smarted off to her. Mom denies or "doesn't remember" that or any of my ***-whoopin's....but I do.
I had a teacher in high school who, when yelling, sounded just like my mom, when she called roll, she'd full-name me and I'd have flashbacks which was apparently noticed by a friend who said I got all pale and sweaty with a terrified look on my face. I finally asked her to just call my last name or call me by my nickname. Restarted playing star citizen, very good game (even though it's still alpha...?)
I had some in game currency for some reason so I bought a fish tank :D Joey, have you ever been in a turkish prison.

I'd hate to sit here and do the math of all the money I've spent on Amazon over the years. Bahamut.Rulerofdarkness

The metal bands go on the top... hmmm. Shoot. Best way to tell which way it goes.. is the little handles that most screens have. They look like two little metal tabs that come out from the frame next to the screen itself. Those usually face inward (toward the inside of the house) and go on the bottom. That way you simply pull on those to lift it up and out of the window. Son of a ***! Watching videos on YouTube and I end up linked to a BrittanyVenti video. >.>
I'm home now!
