Pretty sure that's why they're talking to the Just Cause 3 team, help them with flying Not sure how accurate that map is but a fan did it after seeing the new video (I believe) and calculating distance in KM for the world map (matched the area in the video to the map)

Oh, I'm not saying it won't be fun, just exhausting. Most of the fun of open area world maps is the exploration.
Considering how enormous TW3's map is... that's kind of scary.
I've always wanted a game where it feels like you're having to traverse great distance to get from place to place.
In Ultima Online, it took no more than 5 minutes of running on foot to get from one town to another. That's why I was impressed when I first started playing FFXI that it took about 20+ minutes on Chocobo to get from Bastok to San d'oria. If it took hours to get from place to place, that'd be awesome. I'm not saying I'd want to make the trek every time, but it gives a lot of depth to the game if the world seems that huge. They said in the newest video that if it looks like you can squeeze in somewhere you probably can or whatever

That just made the map a whole lot bigger...
Holy crap on a stick covered in Nutella. Why do you need fast travel? Just remember that all roads lead to Gran Soren.

The main issue I find with open world games is just that, and they tend to rely heavily on fetch missions to take advantage of the world they created.

Big world is fine. Gigantic...a bit less. Depends on how long it takes to traverse it, they might have some fast travel options later in the game
How many KMs did they say the world's going to be?

A little more than half the size of Rhode Island though lol. That's pretty big for a game. |
