So you guys remember the whole riots in Baltimore and all the kids fighting for black rights and the right to burn down retirement homes, drug stores, and to get free Doritos? Well ***got worse.
Now cops are scared to arrest people due to how much they have been hung out to dry by the mayor so they are making sure tourist locations are secure but are being lax in areas that are dangerous. In the span of Friday - Sunday of last week over 24 people were shot and the city is at an all time high for murder. Even yesterday a mother and her 7 y/o son were shot in the head.
Told you guys, Baltimore is a ***hole outside of the Harbor and with the cops being on the defense it's even worse.

So today the company across the road from our company was having some super fancy-pantsy open house with wine, vendors, and a full BBQ. They invited my company over, but we're kind of in a crunch time right now so we didn't plan a field trip for attending.
One of the women I supervise, CCL, (so called for her Crazy Cat Lady ways) asked me if she could go. I said she could go on her break (10~15 minutes per break, and it only takes a few seconds to walk across the road.)
So on her break, she went to check it out. I was not there, but the story I heard (from more than one source) went something like this:
CCL wandered into the BBQ. She found a table of hors d'oeuvre, with plates for people to go through and pick bites out to try. Instead of picking up a plate and trying some of their food, she simply picked up one of the plates of hors d'oeuvres (which happened to be medium-rare steak cut into bite-sized pieces) and brought the whole thing back with her. Just walked right out with it.
Yes, that's right. My minion wandered into a fancy party, stole a plate of steak meant to be an appetizer for several dozen people, and left.
