Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
@Schizm: you could effectively run something like a PI, a 4 port controller adapter, and mount it all in a cabinet with a screen and have a full SNES arcade box, I guess make it touch screen or put in a trackball or something to enable the menus.
Idk, you may be able to code a little frontend that would enable everything from the controller, maybe with a button combination or something to bring up the menu. There's this place that sells older gen consoles and such and they really sell the games for insane prices. I really am not going to buy Zelda: Ocarina of Time for $60.
I actually went in to buy a N64 with two controllers and some games but when I saw the prices of the games were more than the system ($40), I just bought 1 N64 usb controller and got an emulator with all the games I really wanted to play for free. Just ugh! wheatgrass taste good. i suggest everyone try it! :D
I'm doing this juicer thing and so far so good! Oh my...
Delicious... Good morning you beautiful people, and you too Kojo.

Just ugh! That's the problem with some stores. With my company, if I sold stuff, I would sell it reasonable prices, but usually people would just try to buy out whatever I had. Atleast I still make a decent profit and usually I don't hold onto stock. I had a guy try to sell me the NEO GEO MVS home cart system for $500 (no games), I tried to tell the guy for that price I can not only build you an arcade supergun (or arcade cabinet) but have a legit 161 games on it. The arcade MVS cart games list: Schzim, you want to play fighting games with that setup ? I suppose it's easy for you to get 74xx TTL chips, you could try this one: I made that in 2009 for using SEGA Saturn pads (without destroying them) on my arcade Supergun converter. Japanese Saturn pads are the best thing ever created for Street Fighter2-ish fighting games because it has the 6 buttons lined up and the directions are a inverted design against that of what Nintendo and SONY use on their controllers. Also it has two shoulder buttons and start. Perfect for arcade use. The circuit is a simple state machine which scan the buttons on both controllers and store the result in a array of four 8 bit latches. It sweeps through the controllers multiplexers at a rate of 480 bits per second (120hzx4). Each controller make four bits (4 buttons visible) in each of the four states so it latches buttons in groups of four. The only thing that was tricky to get hold of was the Saturn controller connectors (the one on the console). I had to take one from a dead Saturn. For Neo Geo, you can set it in a way that is of your liking by simply swapping how the wires connect from this board to the jamma connector. Simple to remap. I kinda have 2 saturns, I have no idea if they work, I plan on testing them soon, if one doesn't work and somebody wants to send me a prepaid box...
Freedom, from one of the loneliest things I've ever done.

This forum isn't the stressful part of being a mod. I just wish Terra, Aelius, and Aly luck in the future.
Kojo dun un-greenified. Welcome back to the world of us non-specials.
Oh good, now I can talk ***about Kojo and not worry about getting banned!
...wait, how is that any different than before? Bismarck.Magnuss said: » Kojo dun un-greenified. Welcome back to the world of us non-specials. Please tell us this was a voluntary decision Kojo....
Because if it was forced, that's just going to hurt Bunnymod's chances at a fair assessment of her powers a whole lot more....... As for my resignation hurting her as a mod, I don't think anyone will care. |
