Gotcha. I remember turning on adult mode on daggerfall after my parents were in bed ._. Titties, titties everywhere. In any case it doesn't surprise me that they toned it down in later iterations. They were pretty hard ballin for a software company back in the day.

Japan is the kind of place people have really no reason to not renew the buildings. Very special exceptions are religious temples and feudal castles. (buildings with obvious historical meaning including secular businesses)
I think that has a lot to do with the fact that Japan is shaken down with earthquakes fairly often. >.>
