Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
I haven't been on since Friday, hopefully I'll get on tonight.

Like the light on the front of the PC lights up but all you hear is the high pitched noise... What have you done recently? Any power surges or black outs or something? If it was working before you shipped it, it's possible that some of the power connections were wiggled loose during shipping, look around on the motherboard and make sure all the connectors are in firmly. What is the motherboard >_> Also I doubt this is a heat related issue, so you shouldn't need a new fan.. If it was a heat related issue, the computer would start and stay running for a couple of minutes before freezing up completely.
It's possible it's an issue with the PSU, but I doubt it, since it's working. A blown PSU usually won't power up at all. It's more likely that -something- has came loose during transport, pretty much if anything comes loose the computer will fail to start. There's only a couple of exceptions. The motherboard is the board that everything plugs into.. (the green board) I'd check all the cables running in the computer to make sure they're firmly in place, and double check that the RAM is seated well (just push down on it, not really hard, but with some level of force) Valefor.Slipispsycho said: Also I doubt this is a heat related issue, so you shouldn't need a new fan.. If it's a series of beeps how many are there?
I won't really be able to see if it's loose just by pictures, you just have to feel around.. But not every cord on a PSU goes somewhere, so if it seems like one is just dangling, it could mean that's the problem, but it could also be that it was never used to begin with. Slip, my question is, why is your toilet paper next to what appears to be your tower(I think)?
OK slip~ there was quite a few loose wires that IDK if they even go to anything at all or if they just kinda chilling there ( i have an empty port*if that is what it is called* to have a second dvd-r drive)and those cable are coming from that same silver box..
I did what you suggested and noise is gone- I load up the PC and get the standard dell power up black screen with white dell logo- then it goes to the screen windows shut down improper start normal /safe and then black screen.. so success? :I MAYBE? It is not a bad day!!

I try to load normally- black screen I try to load from the last successful point - black screen I try to load from safe point and it goes to a ancient looking screen that says loading system32/drivers/*randomfilename*/ edit: and it freezes on this screen the graphics on the monitor appear to be fine .. not sure how to mess with the BIOS setup tho I can't help with BIOS <.< I've never messed with them, since most manufactured computers (Dell, HP, etc) don't allow you access to the BIOS, and if they do, it's usually in just a limited fashion. So I don't really have much experience with it.
If it won't work on anything but safe mode, then you probably have a driver problem, I'm guessing graphics. Though I'm not really too sure what tell you, I don't see a video card (is there a stand alone video card?) in the pics which means you probably have on board video. To find the drivers to update, need to know exactly what make/model PC you have.. EDIT: Nevermind if it freezes and you can't get into windows even in safe mode you can't update the drivers. Lemme think. I have a dell disk that has the drivers on it..maybe that might work?
Leviathan.Angelskiss said: I have a dell disk that has the drivers on it..maybe that might work? The only thing I can think of off the top my head, if the disk you have doesn't fix it, is to just do a fresh format/windows installation. If a fresh installation of windows doesn't fix the problem, then it's definitely a hardware issue. Btw, I wouldn't count on getting your insurance claim..
Loose cables, lol. Nice catch.
gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh grey hair here i come @@
So i am trying to do a system restore and i get crazy errors :< Taking pics of the error screens so they proper..maybe someone knows what to do :< so frustrating my dad yells at me for my sister using my car but what am i suppose to do, block her from leaving? lol

Hide the keys if she's not supposed to take it. Unless you personally don't mind, then remind your dad that it is, in fact, YOUR car and YOU dictate who can or cannot drive it, not him. Then again, I am increasingly snotty towards parents being overbearing to their adult children nowadays, so maybe it's not such a good idea for you to backtalk. :/ Odin.Liela said: Asura.Chuuuuu said: so frustrating my dad yells at me for my sister using my car but what am i suppose to do, block her from leaving? lol Your car, not hers?
