Well apart from the increasing numbers of imbeciles in the LS who know NOTHING, yeh the Kukiko thing. Basically turned out to be a guy (or we highly suspect it to be a guy). Somebody checked up on a pic she sent them an then I done some more digging and all the evidence points to a guy. Oh and 'she' admitted lieing about everything, then tried to tell more lies lol. So yeh I lost my best friend, in a sense she never existed so it was hard to take mentally, so I have not really played since.

Yeh I will follow that rule always now, but I was literally best friends with this person for a year and a half, it's hard to imagine there are people out there who would let such a close friendship develop and carry on lieing.
Needless to say, once somebody pointed out the blatantly obvious signs I felt like a complete idiot for not seeing them from the beginning, I was blinded by our friendship so I never thought about it.

Vent's not a 100% reliable way to tell. I have a girl friend who's boyfriend plays Halo, and just to mess with people she gets on his headset and trash talks while he runs around killing people so it sounds like a girl is kicking everyone's butts. A guy could bribe his sister, girlfriend, wife, daughter, cousin, etc into talking into vent for him, if he really, REALLY wanted to come across as a girl and was desperate enough about it. But usually vent would be a good way, since bribing a girl to talk and coaching her on what to say would be a lot of annoying work just to lie to people.

I think the worst I've ever experience was one of those people who pretended they died. Went out of their way sending us (people from my LS at the time) emails from their "brother" telling us about how she died. /facepalm

Could be! It sucks though he/she was my partner in crime and we accomplished some awesome feats, complimenting each others play styles perfectly and working together like clockwork without even having to communicate much. We really were a dynamic duo and I struggle to play MMOs without someone like that.

Some people just have a complete lack or morality. It's sad they are growing in population but that's just how it is... for now.
I'm not sure if it was on here, but they made it to BG. They server hopped after getting some things and faked their death to get out of being a douche. A few months later though, it was a rinse and repeat sort of deal and it caught up to them. People were pissed. :3
