How can you hate trig? It was freakishly easy compared to Calculus, and calculus was easy compared to Linear Algebra and all that vector nonsense. And geometry isn't much further from "Here's a square, it does square things. This is a circle. It does circle things". Conics was my favorite part of geometry... who knew you could get so much things from slicing a cone. And as for trig... sin waves and cosign... that's the stuff of the universe man. Without sin waves we wouldn't have our modern understanding of a lot of electricity...
Also the amount of memorization... I can remember important Physics/Chemistry values (such as moles) because they feel applicable to me given their constant use in something I enjoy, Trig gave me nothing to specifically glue those terms.
What about fun sayings though like "Some Old Hippy Caught Another Hippy Trippin' On Acid" to remember:
Sine = Opposite ÷ Hypotenuse
Cosine = Adjacent ÷ Hypotenuse
Tangent = Opposite ÷ Adjacent
I think the only thing like that that ever worked on me was a small song I remember learning way back in Algebra for slope of a line, and that was partially because it was the only way for me to help the other students learn it since I was constantly helping the teacher.
