Guess we'll have to spike their evening tea with arsenic in the lounge.

It drove me bananas. Bloodrose said: » Still, you won't be quite as effective at beating those dumbass roommates with a lead pipe while you have a fever and flu symptoms. Just eat the rice porridge and lay in bed until you recover, young man!
Ugh, annoys me to no end when some people claim to be native English speakers, but can't seem to pronounce basic words*, or have trouble with basic sentence structure that is taught in every English class ever since entering grade school.
*Asterisk notes that I mean people who do not have a speech impediment or mental block. Bloodrose said: » rice porridge ![]() You stay away from me, mister! JOSI! MAKE ME MORE LEBOWSKI GIFS! NAO! What words?

My grade 10 English teacher was one of these people. I took a class at a university (If you can call it that, ASU is... yeah...) where a 19 year old girl, in the middle of a Creative Nonfiction class asked the question: "What does parallel mean?" I... yeah, *** this planet, some days. >do expedition
>kill 2 Yian Kut Ku, 1 Nerscylla and 1 Najarala >get 3 new guild quests >all 3 are Velocidrome Kill me now. On the other hand: >about to cart to Nerscylla because forgot to stock up on potions >Yian Kut Ku drops into the area >does his charge attack where he spits fire everywhere as he goes >knocks Nerscylla away from me >flies off out of the area Bird's pretty cool. Don't you have any Velocidrome guild quests? That's all I did when I needed his parts. Good thing I don't eat Grandma Nobody's cooking.

But I feel your pain. Of course, I was able to get away with mocking this particular teacher for the entire year I was in her class. Not just the other student teacher, but both teachers (40 year vet, remember) insisted that I was wrong, and that verb was "pouring", as if the students' attention was some sort of juice or something. So, I did some digging, and found multiple accounts that all stated I was right. Both are Arizona natives, so it's pretty obvious that the education system down here is crapola. dictionary.definition said: pore pôr verb gerund or present participle: poring be absorbed in the reading or study of. By all accounts, you shouldn't even need to use a dictionary to prove them wrong.
But yes, crap for teachers. |
