My first PS1 games were Final Fantasy VII and Chrono Cross.
Played the hell out of Chrono Cross, must have done about 7 play-throughs, got every character and a rainbow weapon for all of them.
Then I played FF7. It was okay, pretty decent for an RPG, the Materia system was the high point of the game, but for me Chrono Cross was the ***.
Here's another classic I love. Known to some as Tales of Eternia, but my case is the one pictured.

I miss that game also.
I believe it is the same yeah, concerning the multi-tap. I only ever tried it with 2 controllers though.
And that combat style goes for almost all other Tales Of games in the series. :)
