How much RAM you guys have ? I had no trouble with the bear walking in two feet GIF until it got cut down.
At the point it vanished Firefox was using 870MB of RAM (out of 3.4GB).

8 here, but going with 16 next build. Though it's not easy finding two 8GB sticks with a CAS below 9 (with blue heatsinks anyways :3) which IMO helps more than having higher bandwidth frequency.

I'm still on 32bit XP. It caps on 4GB of total address space (memory + devices) so having 4GB minus the 0.6GB of address space eaten up by the graphics card and chipset hardware registers. Yet these GIFs don't make my system go *** up ... /huh
Resume updated and application put in for the fire department I'm doing my ride outs at. I now have a civil service test on Feb 14th at 9 AM.

Speaking of tripping out, Jeff Bridges did this really weird project album thingy using Squarespace where he essentially made a compilation of stuff to listen to while going to sleep and sleeping which may or may not invoke interesting dreams or state of mind.

it isn't a system issue. there's nothing that a web browser would be doing that can cause my system to slow down. it's entirely the browser's performance taking a ***when the gigantic gif is loading, and at that only the tab that the gif is loading in... as i explained already. this is probably the case for most people with the issue on chrome/ff. as i also already mentioned, IE did not have the issue. but im not using IE just because someone posts a 100MB gif in RT
