My boyfriend on the other hand recently became an RC car fanatic and got me partially into it (something else to do together and get out of the house more) so our hobby spending per month the last few months is topping 1k/month lately (rc parts/repairs/upgrades and multiple vehicles).

Depends on the month, I'd say over a year on average maybe $100/month for a total of maybe $1200-$2000/yr. I shop mostly through sales since vidya tends to get huge discounts that other types of hobbies may not see. New consoles and hardware and the like make up a majority of my costs. Can drop $400 - $1800 on a single hardware upgrade depending, but that's every 1-7 years.

Oh i've been eyeing the RC thing for a while (battery, not the nitro fueled ones) I just haven't commit the initial 500 or so for a good one (there is a really nice track and shop right down the road from me that will sell me a good one on a deal)

Fly fishing tends not to be a cheap hobby, especially since this year I need to buy gear for steel-head fishing.

Maybe $150 a year. I'm serious *** buying ***. Most the things I buy are computer related and I can write off as business expenses. And if that isn't the case then I don't buy it. I bought a 3ds and 3 games for it last year I guess. But that's the first time I've done that in years. I don't buy any music anymore. I stopped playing guitar. I stopped playing piano. I don't even have to maintain my car anymore outside of starting it up every month to make sure it doesn't turn into a PoS. Most my money goes to supporting people I care about or my medical expenses or paying off old debt and student loans. This year for example I spent $900 on christmas presents. I got maybe $200 in presents back. And you know what, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I still smile at the memory of my nephews faces and big eyes at some of the stuff I got them.
1. didn't you have some severe medical issue?
2. I'm no mechanic, but I'm pretty sure you need to actually run your car and use it to keep it in decent condition, vs starting it once a month, aside from the fact that the alternator isn't supposed to be used as a dead battery charger.
They should have had a water Aeon in FFX, lazy ***.
