I can't believe I so readily dismissed the OC remix in the past. Both Balance & Ruin and Voices of the Lifestream are incredible. I can only imagine how talented and profound their other works will be.

Got my minion of light the other day. Sad the Warrior does not use swordchucks.
So i'm gonna probably get a laptop when my school refunds get to me... I need suggestions for a half assed decentish laptop (I'm looking to maybe run xiv at a bare minimum while at megacon, or just something to keep me occupied from the time it gets out to when I sleep at night)
Budget: $500-600 (this will be probably the thing that hinders me the most... I don't want to put a huge sum of money into it, but I also want to put a half decent amount on it)
I can probably swing a few extra hundred if it's worth it, but I can't spend 1k or more

If you want it to last a few years, I'd grab something like a 2 year old elitebook, parts are easy/cheap to find that way, and drive support is better.
Or there's the other company equivalent, but then again your budget is a little low, so getting the more expensive hardware isn't probably an option.
Considering the minimum specs are listed at pretty much hardware of 5-6 years ago, you should be able to find something, just grab something with a dedicated gpu, and then check the specs.

what are your opinions on lenovo? I have an old busted phone I could probably sell for a few hundred, my school refund should be around 400 or 500, and I should have a good 300 - 600 more if I really save (possibly more, I might have a few junk items I can pitch for a little bit of money.
