they gave away one of those NES PCs at one of the GDQ events, don't remember which
I think I'd rather build my own, just for the fun of it.

YouTube Video Placeholder The hardware running that is a Mega Drive, btw. Edit: With very fast (dual ported) video memory the Mega Drive could update what was on the screen without have to wait for the end of the travel of the CRT raster beam (blanking) phase of the video. Because it could write and read the video memory at the same time some idiot at SEGA of America thought of a "moniker" for a advertising campaign: "Blast Processing". Rest is history. leo said: » YouTube Video Placeholder The hardware running that is a Mega Drive, btw. At least it isn't as bad as "Do the Math" courtesy of the Atari Jaguar. Offline

Everything is now named after Halo universe characters and lore. Offline

Optical drives are jackals Memory card ports are grunts Hard drive disks are lekgolgos Motherboards are elites awwww sheeeee "flood detected chief" when you get a virus, I love it Not that fast. They're doing it slowly: Cortana (personal assistant) and Spartan (web browser) are the first part of the plot to replace everything with Halo lore. They're probably still scared from messing with too much stuff at once (Windows 8) could scare their customers away and make them keep their older Windows OS instead of upgrading. ;) |
