To be fair I totally over did the settings with it. I could see it being useful for divebombs/Levi ex, because where the sound pops up the screen will spike with sound and let you know where the ***is happening.
Luckily I'm not deaf and use surround sound so I can just use my ears.

Persistent migraines are the worst.
Went to bed early, woke up and it was still there. Took copious amounts of drugs, still there. Ate a full meal (even though I feel like ***) and had caffeine, still throbbing on.

pretty easy to see for me.
1 - reflections in the wood floor
2 - physical waves, seafoam
3 - ripples, waves, better reflections and light refraction in the water
4 - softer and fuller shadows, superior ambient occlusion probably. most noticeable on the white parts in the architecture
5 - tessellation. glorious tessellation. also better texture filtering. the 2D, muddy, blurry ground texture becomes much more three dimensional looking. blur on faraway objects and pieces of textures is reduced/eliminated. you can see the better shading from picture #4 here on her face/hands and inside of her hood especially in addition to a more lifelike skintone due to better lighting.
only things i'm disappointed with atm: no better antialiasing and no HD textures

The Water in the 2 pictures with it circled seems to possibly have physics and waves at least. Which is an improvement over the flat water in game atm. Course anything is better then Bastoks water if you remember that lol it looked like a flat piece of tar.
The Wedding one is worthless it looks exactly the same lol.
The last pic shows the street in Uldah with depth and better skin tone and better lighting for facial features.

We just never cared about whether the characters were good looking or not, it wasn't the reason we bought the games
