Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
YouTube Video Placeholder That's why the sylph light is there lol
It looks like some sort of alien eggs holder rather then a light lol.
That's why I hide it in the back normally lol, it's good for getting up on the balcony though

wheres my uranus and neptune?
it does that stupid broadening to the hilt thing that almost every sword in this damn game does. that isnt how swords work and it looks stupid I thought it would definitely be that blue curtana lol, woo hoo on ugly as *** I guess.

Hopefully its only gold plating because as far as metals go Gold is actually pretty soft, to the point where your nail can dent and scratch it. I'm more amused by much of the actual edge on that blade being covered with a blob of gold...
swords back then aren't razor sharp. they still cut but its more hacking than slicing
You're still making a cutting edge(sharp or not) into something completely blunt which eliminate most if not all cutting potential.

If not then the likely hood of the sword breaking when you make contact with an object is increased. Say a person blocks your swing with a shield the recoil could cause the blade to snap clean off due to the weakness created by not being broadened at the hilt. Also, if you really wanted something for chopping/slashing you're going to want the cutting part of the blade to have the most mass. As beautifully demonstrated by the beastly Ghurka Kukri. Heavier cutting edges bite deeper. Curved edges do as well, more blade per unit of measure. There wouldn't have been a need to develop chain/plate armor if they weren't. Padded leather jerkins would've sufficed as armor given chain and plate are still quite susceptible to stabbings.
