If you've been there for 10 years to raise these girls then you have already been there for the best parts of being a father. While you may not get that "my wife is pregnant" feel you think you are missing, you got to skip a huge bulk of the shitty parts and skip straight to the good stuff.

Being proud to be a father isn't about being there for the birth. It is the moments like hearing about their day at school, hearing them say "I love you," or even just call you dad.

You got to bypass the raging hormonal mood swings, food cravings at 2 am, no sleep from crying babies and/or wife.

They don't have to be your blood to be your kids. They already love you and that is what everyone else is excited about getting.
