The reason populated areas have white areas is because towers are based on population as well as geography (let alone topography).
Cell towers can only handle a certain volume, so while a tower in Iowa might have a certain radius, a tower in Chicago set to the same radius may constantly become overloaded or at least result in frequent poor/failing service. It's not always practice, possible, or cost-effective to cover up the gaps either. And frequently, the same people that complain about cell signal are the ones that complain when a tower is planned to be placed in their neighborhood. I much prefer batman begins to "the dark knight" by several fold.

I'm quite aware of these things, and yeah usually. My friend used to live right beside a dead spot and I kept telling him that they could put a tower in his yard (my grandma too) but they never went for it. The issue with my grandma's is the location would be horrible for it, it was more of jest, as it's right near the foot of a mountain. Then they need to stop increasing prices for the same service if they're not using the income to invest in their own product. That's my biggest problem with Comcast and Verizon. They charge more and more, but service stagnates (Comcast) or seems to only get worse (Verizon).

That's my issue with the BBC, TV licence fee increases every year and all they show are repeats.

I've been trying to clear out some of the older shows (ok Fringe isn't that old and I have watched it 100% already but I love it so I had to watch it again) I just finished House recently, uh ... Dexter (yeah... I sat through it all) my friend just showed me Sherlock so I think I might watch what netflix has on it (that 1.5hr each tho..... ) There's a few middle episodes of House that I think I missed due to the streaming site I watched them on being shitty. Now that it's on Netflix I should rewatch it.
But I'm on season 8 of Criminal Minds so *** that noise. Sherlock is outstanding.
I gave up on House after season 4 (well, part way through 5, technically). I just didn't like the direction it was heading, though I loved the first few seasons. Haven't watched Dexter at all, though I've heard great things. Fringe is one of those things that's, well, on the fringe. I've heard people say it's good, but know little to nothing about it. Lots of shows like that out there atm. I watched SG-1 and Atlantis, half way through Andromeda now. Seen them before but who cares.
The show peaked for me about season 6-7, the ending was just "meh."

I remember him being there, not exiting, but I think I watched after...I don't recall now. new minions too after you finish all the beastmen quests! and mask thing.

I think the Lost finale is fine if you don't go into it expecting hardline answers. It was a resolution for the characters and not the mythos.
