That wasn't murder if Kevin Ward Jr (RIP) accidentally ran out onto the track for whatever reason. It was a horrible accident and Tony is taking today's race off because of it.

I dunno, could've easily been avoided. You don't get out of your car unless it's on fire. Ward shouldn't have been out of his car much less out in the middle of the track. I kinda feel like it was an accident caused by two people being unsafe.

I do admit, Stewart wasn't taking caution laps like the other drivers, he was up higher, going faster.

That and he was witnessed by multiple accounts of increasing his speed upon seeing Ward in his vicinity. Apparently when you hit the acceleration on one of those sprint cars, they kick out the side which could have created an accident, but Stewart should not have been that close to begin with, and he's been in the sport long enough to know that. He may not have intended to kill, but for sure he should be charged with disorderly conduct, poor sportsmanship, etc. If he races again after this, I'd be very surprised.
