So I noticed the 650s had a better clarity and bigger sound stage than the 598s, but didn't hear the dark and warm side everyone talked about so much.
They were more bottom heavy, but not significantly so like I was expecting. Play list is on random, so been a lot of Ben Caplin, Little Hurricanes, Cold play... Softer and jazzy stuff. Recover by chvrches came on and it was like BOOM, and now I see why everyone calls these the darkest headphones out there. Not boomy like a subwoofer, but just a huge bass presence.
Definitely loving these new headphones, can't wait for more burn in and new cable to tighten everything up and make it clearer.
