Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
It's my fault I didn't sleep though admittedly, but eh.

Cakegirl.
no waffle love?
Waffles are disgusting
How could you even suggest such a thing?
I wouldn't say disgusting, that's too far, but yeah I don't like em either.

there, solved the problem! Valefor.Sehachan said: » *puts Kojo and Magnuss together* there, solved the problem! ....Wait... Is this...an argument? Waffles are okay, as long as they aren't loaded with all kinds of sweet stuff. Just a little syrup and peanut butter.
Pancakes are better though. Same toppings. Hate all those special waffles/pancakes that places like IHOP/Denny's has. You guys are messed up. I had an egg sandwich for breakfast though lol. Dunno the last time I had waffles either. My dad makes pancakes pretty often at least and they're pretty good. He is neither a girl or a friend however
I like IHOP, mainly because I hate maple and like their blueberry syrup.

Then I finally realized that it was the reason I would always get sick to my stomach after. Too much sweet.
So now I just use a little. Just enough to get it slightly moist. Bahamut.Rulerofdarkness said: » Waffles are okay, as long as they aren't loaded with all kinds of sweet stuff. About the only pumpkin thing I like is pumpkin nut bars.
Don't like flavored pancakes. Original is all I like when it comes to pancakes. I'm yet to try pancakes. They're in the shopping list with peanut butter, the other thing that I haven't had the pleasure to check out.

Make sure to get the smooth/creamy kind. 2nd. Pancakes' texture can vary greatly depending on how much water you use, how much you stir it (can make them tough if you overstir the batter), and how hot the griddle is (don't want them to cook too fast). Nooooooooooo not chunky!
It's harder to spread on things like toast, etc. and you actually have to somewhat chew it. What with the bits of peanuts in it. Valefor.Sehachan said: » I'm yet to try pancakes. Also, if you see lumps in your batter, it's okay and wholly necessary. Trust me, when you cook it, they'll come out. As Ruler mentioned, you can overstir it and that leads to a nasty thin mess. 3rd. When cooking, the best way to indicate when to flip is when the top part of the pancake is covered in bubbles that popped, so it basically looks like it has a ton of craters in it. Also, use a lot of cooking spray or butter while cooking to make sure it doesn't stick to the pan. Anna Ruthven said: » make sure you don't have an allergy Over-stirring makes them tough and too much water makes them runny Mag. Stirring can slightly influence how runny they are but it's primarily how much water you use.
I like to get mine where there are just a few lumps left. Not too many and not them all gone either. I do the spoon drip test to see if I need more water. If it kind of drips from the spoonful at a fairly steady rate it's good. But if it kind of hesitates or just kind of all runs out at once, it's too much or too little in the respective direction. Chunky sucks! |
