I sort of have to agree with this.

They way the "drill hair" is portrayed isn't even physically possible, unless you like your hair to feel like plastic.

Actually I had a thing similar to drill hair once. It's obviously nothing like the anime drill hair but if you curl it right, it is technically the "real life" drill hair.

I think Catherine, from the game of the same name, is a pretty good example, not the most outrageous but one of the most familiar.
