I have an external single layer one, it's lasted a good while now.
I just like the external anymore as then I can hook it up to more than 1 system easily. I looked at the prices of them when I rebuilt my PC into the other case a few weeks back, my PC doesn't have an internal drive now, as I'm too cheap to buy one to put in it.
I want to sell the parts I bought as a kit from Tigerdirect since my other computer is more beefy, but to do so I'd have to find another solution for my raid.

So I ended up selling my busted *** Subaru for 300 to some dudes planning on making it into a derby car. Just looked at the dudes facebook and he posted some pictures and he is getting freaking offers on it! He is totally scum bagging it up too...
"Yeah it has an After-market exhaust!" ... you mean the small piece of kitchen pipe that is held on with c-clamps? Or maybe he means the blown out catalytic converter that makes it fail inspection.
"Brand new tires" ... that I bought 3 years ago...
"Everything works" ... except the AC that was completely ripped out.
and that is not even getting to the transmission I accidentally ran last summer without any fluid in it... or the warped rotor and the seized brake caliper... or the garden hose being used for air intake...
and sadly... I bet he gets 1000 bucks for it -_-

I dunno, I reported the post to Facebook as "Spam/Scam" but I feel kinda like it was a butthurt reaction.
Part of me is just jealous that he is getting offers on it. I know he bought it from me assuming it was a total junker and I took a cheap price because I just wanted it out of my driveway. Guy caught a break, and while he is being a kind of scumlord about it, I guess I don't feel like I should get too involved.
-IF- I see him post it on craigslist or on a Facebook auto-sales page, then yeah I am going to flag the ***out of that and spam everything he posts with the truth about the car. If he wants to *** over a Facebook "friend" though, let him have at it.

Listen here, what he is doing is clearly fraudulant and false advertising to get the vehicle sold. You know he's lying, and can prove it (I assume you can). It's your duty to bring this to light, otherwise someone driving the car could get hurt

Pretty sure it isn't illegal unless he has a business he is selling it through.
Totally immoral and being a complete scumbag, sure. But he'd sell it as is and it would be up to the buyer to know their ***or get it checked out before they bought it.

Most buyers will trust the seller, and a lot of accidents will occur because of horrible lying. People -claim- it's ok, then when it comes down to being in court, they'll just say "It was fixed when I had it, you broke it"
Catching it before a sale no matter if they own a business or are a private seller, it's -illegal- to lie about a product, period. Most of these scammers don't have businesses yet they get spanked by the cops when caught. Why? Because lying about a product that was sold is -stealing- money.
