I have an IDE raid controller card somewhere.
I keep an older system around to have an option for IDE drives natively.
not all software will recognize an ide drive over usb, and it's annoying.
I want to eventually build a mame cabinet, something I'll probably be asking you about when I get around to it, I just don't have the $ or the space for it right now.

Excited about starting my new PC build once I move into my new apartment.

I also picked that based on the chipset features.
After that I'd just determine the exact cpu I want based on my $ available.
My next build will probably be around virtual machine hardware forwarding for a new ESXI server, but if I'm building a PC for regular use before then; probably will would still stick with intel...

Well, from what I heard, AMD is going to drop their FX series set of chips and work exclusively on their APUs, which is great and all, but would limit my overhead for upgrades with a chipset due for a brick wall in the near future.
Also as great as Haswell is, Intel already has Broadwell set for release in 2015, which knowing them means a new socket as well.
Hmm, I'd honestly have to read into it more, I've been slacking.

If most arcade cabinets take 12/5v dc then yes modifying a PC power supply would be the easiest thing for most people to do anymore.

having an interchangeable top depending on what I'm playing would be cool too, as otherwise I'd have to put all the buttons on one, and it would get a bit cluttered, even though I read that it's really customizable.

Did two CT runs today :x I ... gotta say it's fun lol... everyone was nice ... first run went awesome second run ... ehhh we kept dying at KB lol... but we got through it and won.
Got some Fuma hands too lol... and found out I meet the iLVL req for coil turn 1 ... so I might see if people want to do that :p
