I know the feeling, I had three cards and by the time I paid them off I ended up paying about $3,500 in interest.

it's my 3rd (almost 2nd) lowest amount I owe though...
why do I have 5 cc's? /slapshimself.
I paid off my other one though, so now I'm down to 5 with balances, I think I have 2-3 with a balance of $0.
just checked, it had a 24.99% APR, so it was a good thing I paid that off, now to pay off the 25.99% one.

Seriously, I would read up on financial advices, if one of the cards have a really low APR, you may have to shank paul to pay peter.
Basically use the lower APR card to completely pay off the higher APR card to lower the interest cost. Or maybe if you can get a load with no interest, kill the cards now just so you aren't getting raped down the road.
Even my non-sub apr is still 6.8% definitely beats even my lowest cc apr.
I'm waiting to see how my job situation is over the next few weeks but I might be able to handle it without taking out more loans.
I screwed up, but I know how to fix it...

If you already looked into the situation then atleast you have a plan. I didn't even think of controlling payments by recycling payments down to my lowest APR.
The $3,500 damage was already done by only making low payments, I carried that debt for over 5 years but got rid of it in less than a year once I understood the game.
I used my lowest to double payments onto the other two cards and dropped good payments on the main card. I talked with the bank that gave me that card, they lowered my APR just because I was on time with payments and I was making large payments (handling the two other cards off it made the amount owed higher).
Crushed the debt really fast and looked good to all three credit companies. But I will add, it wasn't a fun ride, had to sell off part of my game collection and work two jobs but I wanted that $9k debt gone and gone for good.
Yeah, I'm not quite that bad yet...
Damn Amazon prime and their amazing shipping deals...
anyway... I just need to get on a budget and I'll be fine, I've been living without a budget for far too long, just been spending most of what I have.
The real trick with vanquishing my debt right now will be if I maintain my rate of pay over the next year or so, but my contract will be up soon, so hopefully I can find long-term employment asap.
I really don't want to go back to under $10/hour...
