I'm trying to piece together this mess the best I can, but it's been so taxing mentally and financially that I cannot help but recount it in fragments. But from what I can piece together, she was formerly a junkie/stripper from Arizona that hung around all the wrong people, got knocked up several times, lost her children to CPS for obvious reasons, and upon meeting my friend made an attempt to go back on the straight and narrow, but her pregnancy at the time complicated her ability to seek/gain employment and any form of contribution to the household other than likely being a fleshlight with a pulse for my friend.

She's sought out financial/cash aid as well as food stamps from the state, which for all I can tell has been for naught. It wasn't until well after her baby was born (which she stupidly decided to keep), that she found employment at a fast food joint, but apparently she already lost her job which I discovered yesterday. So she declared that she and her bf can't afford to live here anymore and they're gonna bail on the lease and leave for Arizona, leaving me with the tab; and in essence making me stuck, either with 5 more months of living here (in a hopefully downsized unit), or with a $3700 tab that all 3 of us are legally obligated to pay. The leasing office does't care who or how, they just want it all, and it is downright predictable they won't pay a dime.

Aye, in hindsight it was a terrible mistake to give them the benefit of the doubt and pay out of pocket for their ineptitude and mistakes. However, I did what I did out of my nature, my ignorance to the realities of life, and more than anything, to keep a roof over our heads and avoid the credit hit and mark of being evicted.

Draw up an agreement with your landlordy that you'll pay your 1233.33, but then it's on them to collect from Bitchtits McGee and Mr. Enthralled. /loudgrosssobbing

That would be nice, however, that hit alone destroys my tax return and therefore my ability to move into another place by paying off the deposits. Not to mention, that the leasing office holds no responsibility as to who or how it is paid, they just need the money, and all three of us are equally liable and obligated to pay it off as per the lease. So it is very well within their ability and in all probability to not pay anything and leave me with the tab.

I want to avoid that altogether and just be rid of them and finish off the lease. That seems to be the wisest decision. They get out of my life, and I don't get a ridiculous fee or hit on my credit score.

If there's a silver lining, at least they're not the kind of shady *** to steal my stuff or something like that. I'm just glad they're leaving. Good *** riddance.
