Odin.Liela said: » Well they aren't flip-flops, Jet. ^^ One pair has white braided faux leather straps with metallic strips braided in for sheen and shine. The other pair is this, except with black fabric instead of orange chevron: And both pair are really comfy! And pretty. It's nice to feel like your feet are looking pretty. :-) Oh, and they both have backs of course, so when I walk there's no flip-flop slapping noise. :D Delightful! I know the difference, and still think it's silly to pay that much for half a shoe. Oh mine too, but my shoes last about a year or so... But it's hard to find size 14 4e in rebok, have to order them online. stupid big *** feet are expensive. I'm lucky if my shoes last 6 months >.> If they last a year it's a damn miracle.
Me and shoes do not get along. I define "last" as a little beyond where they have a hole in the toes.
Jetackuu said: » I define "last" as a little beyond where they have a hole in the toes. I'm typically like that too, but I have the same black steel toed boots I bought like 8 years ago. I don't wear them much anymore, but I used to wear them all the time. Aside from having to change the laces twice and a little scuffing here and there (also, the insoles have pretty much disintegrated), they're still in perfect shape.
I bought my last pair of shoes like 3 years ago :|
I wear heavy grade work boots most the time, and they tend to last 1-2 years under very hard conditions. But they are not cheap, so buy Wal-mart work boots that fall apart in 3 months or $100-$200 work boots from the working mans store. it is a toss up on the time/price BUT the extra safety in good boots is worth not loosing a foot over.

That's kinda why mine have lasted lol, they aren't work boots or anything like that, but they weren't exactly cheap, as long as you take care of them they can last a while :) Aside from my job, I honestly blame the way I walk. I tend to walk on or with a good amount of pressure towards my toes/front of my foot.

I need to go shoe shopping soon. My tennis shoes I bought 2 years ago that I turned into yardwork shoes are starting to break down, and the cheap shoes I got at walmart 8 months ago make me want to cut off my feet after wearing them for 3 hours.
Think I'll go back to using Timberlands. They were always quality boots/shoes for me. Purchasing full grain hard leather is the best bet as well a a very tough rubber(work)/leather(dress) bottoms. Not glued together but stitched (triple or double stitching only). Make sure you water proof and keep your leather in good shape with a good leather shoe oil. Always wear heavy sweat absorbing socks and keep them laced tight. This will make a good pair of shoes/boots last a long time.
I just realized that we're a bunch of dudes talking about shoes.

Also legs, yeah. 6 months for a pair of shoes? O.o holy guacamole, my shoes last a 2-3 years each, at the least! I have a few pair of shoes in my closet that I can think of off the top that I've had for about 8 years. Those ones are easy to remember because I got them the year we were married. And they are still in good shape!
6 months, my arse. Poor guys! Kujata.Daus said: » I want these They are loads more expensive online than they were in the store, but here you go. They also have pink ones! Meep! Speaking of that thread about fatBarbie:
I never understood how to play with dolls like that. I always did imaginary games but I used to play with Spiderman action figures and the likes cause I could create something with them, but Barbie? Idk, she doesn't even have a background, she's just some rich girl who is obsessed with pink, they did buy me one when I was little but I didn't know what to do with it. Maybe it's because I've been to the site before so my computer already knows what I'm talking about or something weird and impossible like that. xD If the links don't work and you want to see the shoes, Daus, go to DSW.com and check for sandals. The name is Beka and the maker is Dirty Laundry. I realize that sounds like some super crazy code for annihilating the world, but no really. Shoes. I loved Barbies, Seha, but since they didn't have a story I just made one up with them when I played. "Oh this is a mermaid Barbie that I've never heard of? Very well! We shall take a bath and you shall be Ariel's cousin who just wanted to take a bath all day long!" But I was a pretty derpy kid. /blush Odin.Liela said: » Maybe it's because I've been to the site before so my computer already knows what I'm talking about or something weird and impossible like that. Barbie always ends up a disney princess doing something you'd see in the older movies for my niece.
