Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
Guy in my LS is like 64.
Ina is old!
I thought you'd be younger :o But at the same time,with your job/experience,I'm not surprised Quiznor said: » Ina is old! I thought you'd be younger :o But at the same time,with your job/experience,I'm not surprised Edit: (5 - 1 + 5 x 2) + 20 / 2 =(5 - 1 + 10) + 20 / 2 =14 + 20 / 2 =14 + 10 =24 Phoenix.Kojo said: » Don't mess with my mind, like that ; ; Asura.Ina said: » (5 - 1 + 5 x 2) /buys you a dulce de leche milkshake /chills with Val and Quiz Asura.Ina said: » I take pleasure in messing with people's minds... just ask skull? PEMDAS, Quiz.
It's right. :x Bismarck.Dracondria said: » I kept *** that up because of how it was written :| I somehow came up with 14 at one point, then 24, after hurting my brain for a few. Asura.Lokimaru said: » PEMDAS, Quiz. It's right. :x Idk what that is! The way it was taught here is since its 1 bracket, its all done in order,if it was 2 sets of brackets, its done seperately. Idk about canadian math, but I can discount every american that argues lol Parentheses, exponents, multiplication/division, addition/subtraction
If there's stuff inside the parentheses, it follows the same rules. Yeah it's done a little differently here too
I hate poorly written math problems. It's like trying to read ghetto english and being quizzed on it.
Poorly written? Orrrr artificial difficulty?
That's correct in American maths. We use the same thing only just call parentheses brackets in school because it is easier for kids to remember. If there were multiple sets of brackets in there that could mix it up some
I think today I'm gonna fill out a ton of online job applications. :X

(5 - 1 + (5 x 2)) + (20 / 2) = 24 If you forget the multiplication priority rule, and royally f*ck-up, as I did.. (5 - 1 + 5 x 2) + 20 / 2 5 - 1 = 4 5 x 2 = 10 4 + 10 = 14 14 + 20 = 34 34 / 2 = 17 See, I royally f*cked up like 5 times before I Asura.Ina said: » We use the same thing only just call parentheses brackets in school because it is easier for kids to remember. If there were multiple sets of brackets in there that could mix it up some Well I'm just saying I read it the way it was taught here :x So I guess we're both right in our own way. edit: Google also adds more parentheses. (5 - 1 + (5 x 2)) + (20 / 2) = 24 Thats pretty much the same as the way it is taught here. 5 x 2 is in its own seperate bracket so worked out seperately and the answer added to the entire equation Maths!? in my RT thread? you bet!
