I haven't been able to get into the more recent animes. There have been a few good ones, but man... I just keep finding myself going back to Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, FMA, Trigun, Outlaw Star, etc.

Then again, maybe I'm just silly.

I think she's hurting him more than helping him, but she also is keeping him on track (if you can say that). I don't know enough yet to have a real opinion yet.

He's also all she has left, so she want's to be protective which is understandable.

They might have backed off a bit in the anime? So far she doesn't seem that bad, but she does need to back off and let him grow and get stronger or he won't have what it needs to survive later on (but he obviously won't die, well, very unlikely anyways).
