Ever have those moments where it is like the hand of God guides you to do stupid ***? Totally happened today.
Bought that today, get to go pick it up tomorrow. Was the bike I wanted, for cheaper then I wanted, in my favorite color. I wasn't really thinking of getting a bike until like a month or two from now... but my wife was like "Here's a $1,000" for a down payment (which is huge for a bike down payment). She said it was the perfect bike for me and it wouldn't be there in a month. For once, she was the one wanting to do something we probably shouldn't. I feel like a bad influence on her or something.
I'm so excited I could squee. Like little high school girl squee.
Bought that today, get to go pick it up tomorrow. Was the bike I wanted, for cheaper then I wanted, in my favorite color. I wasn't really thinking of getting a bike until like a month or two from now... but my wife was like "Here's a $1,000" for a down payment (which is huge for a bike down payment). She said it was the perfect bike for me and it wouldn't be there in a month. For once, she was the one wanting to do something we probably shouldn't. I feel like a bad influence on her or something.

:O It's an '07 Honda VTX 1300.
*** huge, but I'm 6'2" 250 lbs and the Yamaha V Star 650 felt kind small to me. Oh god, I sat on a Triumph Bonneville and felt like a giant though.

I'm buying from a place waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up town and feel kinda like a loser for getting a trailer and towing it home... but I would rather not you know, wreck and die the same day I got it seeing as I'm still rather noobish to riding. I don't think a two day class with like maybe 5 hours total ride time really counts for ***on that thing.
Got it dirt cheap though, only 5k miles on it, brand new tires, and I wont feel too bad if I scuff it up a little with a fall or two.

Here in Texas (well Dallas at least) it is illegal to smoke at gas stations. No smoking signs everywhere at most gas stations and you can get a ticket for it.
