Nvidia or amd? which has less compatibility problems? what else should be be concerned with when looking this stuff up? :<
for what? both have their share of strengths and weaknesses, AMD usually being cheaper for a small cut in performance, and nVidia's drivers are usually better supported (not so the case as much recently though).
THIS FEEL!
SO MUCH THIS FEEL!
they've gone too far down the "major updates for one game that aren't really that amazing" path as of late instead of sweeping adjustments and bug fixes imo. granted it's not just their fault, the developers need to do their part too. would have likes some driver optimization for gw2 which never got any sort of major performance boost. there's no reason my rig should stutter at any time in that game.
Yeah :/
And to add on to what you said about the 660ti, if that seems harsh I say look at the 7850. for $220 it's pretty powerful little card.
Edit: I mentioned the 7850 a few post up, wanted to look up the price to give a comparison.
Yeah 7850 is good for its price point. Would like to mention also that 660tis tends to OC a lot better than 7850s.

Vyre, that feels like Romantic literature, to me. I must read it all. That and I've never read The Call of Cthulu, either. Man, the books are stacking up! I'll have to wait until class is over, though.
Old/Middle or GTFO!
Thems fighting words!
Bring it, son!
If it is fisty cuffs you want good sir,
Then I sir Chaucer will duly oblige.
I Kant allow you to do that, kind sir.
Really?
I'd make a sexist joke about how my era kept women uneducated and in the kitchen, but then Chaucer would roll over in his grave since he worked so hard to give women a real voice in CT....

yeah, but the average gamer doesn't take time to OC so I figured that was a non-factor.
But yeah it more or less boils down to how much you value $80 for a boost to performance.
Both cards will do the job no doubt.

Meh I try to get everyone to OC their GPUs. It's much less annoying/time expensive to do compared to a CPU OC. Just load up EVGA precision or MSI afterburner and you've done 60% of the work. Kepler GPUs can be a bit more annoying if you want maximum performance, but even increasing your boost by 40MHz is some free performance for moving a slider.
Boom! Sure, Bronte was alive during the Victorian era, but WH was as Romantic as it got. Check, match... win.
Other than Heathcliff turning into a bitter, old ***, yeah. I'd probably haunt his *** too if I was Catherine. Too bad I'm one letter off.
Oh, that's not what I meant by Romantic. Not romance as in love as we think it means nowadays, but the literary sense. Usually it refers to gothic style, darkness, melancholy, the mystique and the sublime vs. the beautiful. I can't stand that people think that WH is a love story.
So, later in the Klingon War missions, you have to destroy the Doomsday Machine (or 'planet killer') from the original Star Trek series, and I was expecting something challenging, what with it being a giant weapon capable of destroying planets and all, but all it takes is 5 special torpedoes (which you're handed for the mission anyway) to kill it...
Oh well... Next up is 'City on the Edge of Never', in which I am to meet up with the USS Kirk~

Totally missed that. I'm feeling weird today. Not all there ATM.

HoD may be ~70 years late but I'll be damned if that doesn't describe that text perfectly....
Nvidia typically does better in most situations with driver support, performance wise they about the same also unless all you do is wank to benchmark scores. AMD is a mix bag, single card they're fine, multi gpu support is where things can get iffy with them, especially with new release titles.

I really prefer the movie parody of HoD. You know... Cannibal Women of the Avacado Jungle of Death.
He said on that list, so that's what I gave him! Even in the world of mobile cards, 650m is pretty poor, but it isn't easy to get much better
Yeah, but in the world of mobile GPU's you're gonna be spending big money to get something decent. ~1k + to even get something alright.

This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
