I need to figure out what is making me lag every time someone posts a gif. I'm using firefox so it shouldn't really be an issue...
try using chrome to look at the page and see if the computer is still lagging.

My laptop is fairly decent, but sometimes animated gifs, and even regular images can lag me while browsing, both on Chrome and Firefox.

At least laptops can handle XI if you still play. I bet calculators can these days lol
I run FFXI at about 7-13 FPS, sometimes worse >.>;, but I could play WHM on it at least.

Mine runs FFXI at 29-30 FPS everywhere except Shadowreign zones. For some odd reason, it drops to ~20 FPS there.
My old PC generally ran normal zones at 15-20 FPS and dropped under 10 anywhere with more than one or two mobs.

I wish SE released more of their RPG's on pc. They'd be *** gorgeous with everything cranked to max at 60fps+

atm though I have this huge problem with buying games, expensive games, and not finishing them. So... I'm not buying anymore games (except 1 coming out) until I finish everything.
I just don't play very much during the week

They did a really bad port of the game, it wasn't ever designed for PC. You'll need to install some patches to get a higher resolution and stuff, I'm not sure what all you'd have to do.

I usually don't play online anyway (because if I buy the game late I get destroyed by people who play it all the time lol) so it doesn't bother me. Also saves me a ton of money
